Southern Fried Rice is a recently established guesthouse situated at the beautiful Kata Beach in Thailand's idyllic Phuket Island.

Moments from the beach, and featuring spacious, clean, comfortable rooms, modern ensuite bathrooms, outstanding Thai and international cuisine (with over 200 delicious delicacies on the menu), free wi-fi high speed internet and many more attractions, Southern Fried Rice is the ideal hotel from which to explore Phuket.

There is a top quality pool table, 40" plasma TV screen with surround sound and a computerised sound system with all your favourite music. For intellectual stimulation we support the Phuket Chess Club and we can provide Thai language lessons. There is a great variety of nightlife within strolling distance of the guesthouse.

We also hire out motorcycles for the more adventurous to range out over Thailand's biggest island.

Why is it called "Southern Fried Rice"? Thai authorities can be very picky about the name you choose and, after several rejected names, we found this one on our friend's menu!

Great location only a short walk from the beach and very friendly and helpful staff. The owner helped us book tours and got us an excellent price for them and even drove us to the airport when we left. Our room was huge and had everything we needed - you can't ask for more really. We had a great time and would stay there again for sure.
